This Guest Post was first written as an update in the Members Feed by member @leslie123. It was such a good description of what facing down cravings is like, and the strength we get when we do it together, I thought it worth featuring here.

@leslie123:
I will not drink with you today.
Arm in arm we face the enemy- we stare at it- we glance at each other and hold tighter- we rush - we hold each other up as we feel the whoosh 💨 pushing us.
We plant our feet- we remain upright- the energy tries to consume as we squeeze our eyes shut yelling into the wind - gradually the powerful pull is past us.
We look over our shoulders to see the dust rushing away from us- we shift our feet- we stand upright- arms still locked together- we shake the dust from our hair.
We loosen our grip and hands on knees let out a huge breath- we chuckle softly- a glance- a smile- we start down our separate paths.
We look back and yes we are all still here- ready in a moment to lock arms and hold each other up.
What a beautiful gift.
