Soothe Me

November 8th, 2019 Drink of the Week

close up drink with rose petals

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I love chamomile tea, I drink a delicious mug of it every night before bed. Well, this is a delightful and very easy way to get that chamomile flavour but with the added hints of lemon and honey – plus the scent of roses! I bought my rose petals from a deli but you could dry them yourselves from the garden.

Ingredients (per serving):

1 mug chamomile tea
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice
Rose petals

Method:

Brew a mug of chamomile tea and let it cool to room temperature.
Pour the tea into a jar with a lid (or cocktail shaker) and add the honey and lemon juice.
Shake until the honey has dissolved.
Pour into your glass and top with the rose petals.

Enjoy!
