Feijoa Smoothie

I made this and gobbled it back all in the space of about 10 minutes! It is super-speedy to put together and really scrumptious.

Ingredients (for one person):
2 large or 4 small feijoas
1 1/2 cups milk of your choice (I used almond)
1/4 cup of vanilla ice-cream or plain yogurt
1 tbsp honey

Method:
* Cut feijoas in half and scoop out the flesh, put into blender
* Add remaining ingredients and blend until frothy
* Pour into a tall glass. Add ice cubes if you wish

Enjoy!

Yum! I have all these ingredients in the cupboard and am going to make this today. Day 2 and I feel like cooking! Going to attempt to make muesli now and then I’ll enjoy a smoothie. Wholesome goodness!

Just watched a you tube on what feijoas were!

This is great as someone has told me where there is a whole HEDGE of feijoas in the red zone. The ones I dug out from my home almost lived in their new location, but sadly died off.
Can’t wait until the hedge ones ripen, two giants are in my fruit bowl doing their best right now. I will add an egg for a breakfast or take-with-me for morning tea treat. 🙂 I wonder if kiwifruit would be as good?
