Rose Petal Lemonade

May 29th, 2019 Drink of the Week

pink drink in champagne flute

This is really fun to make, feels very fancy! I bought rose petals from a speciality food store (Moore Wilson’s for those in Wellington), but I can’t see why you couldn’t just take loads of fresh petals and dry them out before using them to make this drink.

Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 tbsp rose petals
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup lemon juice Directions:
First make rose petal tea by combining the water and rose petals into a pot
With the lid on, bring it to a boil
When it comes to a boil, turn it off
Let it sit until nearly cool then strain
In a jug, mix the tea with the honey and lemon juice
Stir until honey is completely dissolved
Garnish with slices of lemon

Enjoy!
