June 17th, 2024 Drink of the Week
This is simple with only two ingredients and a couple of garnishes but even the simple act of combining two liquids over ice and adding a slice of lemon can feel very treaty! Tonic is sweet but it has a tart edge thanks to the quinine in it.
Fruit juice
Tonic water
Ice cubes
Lemon slices
* Put ice in a glass.
* Pour in a good splash of fruit juice (I used peach juice which I found at my local deli – a little bit posh! But you could use apple juice, cherry juice, orange juice, pear juice, any fruit juice you like).
* Fill to the top with cold tonic water.
* Garnish with a slice of lemon.
Enjoy!

It seems to me that a lot of people have been commenting in the Members Feed recently about all the little things that they are noticing they are able to achieve now that they are not drinking.
