Virgin Blueberry Mojito

March 18th, 2023 Drink of the Week

blueberry mojito

This is super yummy. I muddled the mixture using a mortar and pestle but you could use a bowl with a spoon or some such. Limes are expensive but who cares we are worth it!

Ingredients:

Handful fresh blueberries plus more for garnish
I tbsp sugar
10 fresh mint leaves
1 lime cut into wedges
Crushed ice
Ginger Ale

Method:

Muddle together the blueberries, sugar, mint leaves and 2 wedges of lime.
Remove the lime and spoon the rest of the mixture into two glasses.
Drop in some crushed ice and top up with ginger ale.
Garnish with another wedge of lime.

Enjoy!

My sugar research...

Mrs D's Blog

(Warning: Long Post with some science-y stuff in the middle) I’m kind of reluctant to post this because – honestly – worrying about sugar etc is the LAST THING YOU SHOULD BE DOING if you are new at sobriety.

“My family know that I will not put my sobriety at risk under any circumstance, so if there is something I feel would put that in danger, then I don’t do it.” ========= This pandemic sobriety story comes from Beth M who lives on the South Coast of England.
