
So called because I got this recipe from Meghan Markle's cookbook! I guzzled this entire mixture down and felt so good afterwards. Reduce the amount of ginger if you like a more subtle flavour.
Ingredients:
60g fresh root ginger
6 green cardamom pods
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
5 cloves
1 star anise
800 ml water
sugar, to taste
Method:
Peel and grate the ginger and slightly crush the cardamom pods under the blade of a knife
Place all the spices in a pan and cover with the water. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes
Strain into mugs or heatproof glasses, add sugar to taste and serve.
