April 13th, 2018 Drink of the Week
A girlfriend made this for us when we visited her place for a roast dinner on Easter Sunday. It was very delicious – an easy and tasty mocktail idea to serve to a group! She used ‘The Real McCoy’ cranberry juice and their Ruby Red grapefruit juice but you could use any brand….
Ingredients:
Cranberry juice
Grapefruit juice
Fizzy water
Mint leaves
Ice
Method:
Get a large serving jug and add a bunch of ice cubes
Fill to one third with the cranberry juice and one third with the grapefruit juice
Top up with fizzy water
Garnish with fresh mint leaves
Enjoy!
Alcohol takes us to places that we would never go when sober.

The lovely Jean McCarthy has written another book, and we are so fortunate she is sharing an excerpt with us here at Living Sober!

If someone was to ask me what I think the main thing you have to learn when you get sober, I would say it is this… You have to learn how to sit with your uncomfortable emotions.

Consider the voice in your head as your inner addict trying to get it’s fix and not the wise part of you that is trying to quit.
