Rosey Pink Mocktail

April 21st, 2022 Drink of the Week

pink drink in a flute

Sometimes it’s worth going to the trouble of making a sugar syrup, because you then have on hand the basis for multiple drinks. Sometimes I do this on a Friday so I know I’ve got my weekend drinks sorted – then all I need to do is make sure I have some fizzy water on hand. Who needs booze?? Not me!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1tsp rose water
1tsp pink or red food colouring
Fizzy water

Method:

First make the pink sugar syrup by combing the first four ingredients in a small pot and gently stirring as the sugar dissolves.
Let the syrup cool.
To make each drink pour a little of the sugar syrup into a flute then top with fizzy water.

Enjoy!
