April 10th, 2019 Drink of the Week
I made this tea in honour of my gorgeous mother-in-law who passed away recently. I plan on drinking copious amounts of it at her wake, and hopefully I can get a few others to partake as well! It’s delicious, lightly spiced with a subtle hint of orange. Guaranteed to warm the heart and make the tears flow smoothly.
Gently crush the cardamom pods and place them in a saucepan along with the water.
Bring to a simmer.
Add the tea bags then bring the water to a boil.
Turn off the heat and let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
Stir in 2 tsp of orange blossom water then pour into teacups and serve.
(Alternatively, if you have a tea pot with a built in infuser you could just place the cardamom pods and teabags inside the infuser then pour over the boiling water. After 5 minutes add the orange blossom water.)
Enjoy!
If someone was to ask me what I think the main thing you have to learn when you get sober, I would say it is this… You have to learn how to sit with your uncomfortable emotions.
