Mexican Limeade

November 10th, 2017 Drink of the Week

This was a bit messy to make but worth the effort – it’s really tart and delicious! You can play around with the amounts, there’s no exact science here.

Ingredients:
6-10 lemons or limes (I used lemons)
3 cups water
4 cups lemonade (I used Sprite Zero)
1/4 cup powdered lemonade or sugar (I used Lime Raro)

Method:
– Wash the lemons/limes and trim the ends
– Put them in a blender with the water and blitz until completely pulverised. Yes – put the entire lemon in and blitz!
– Strain through a sieve into a jug. This was messy, I used my hands to squash the mixture through the sieve and had a dish underneath to catch the overflow.
– Add the lemonade and powdered lemonade/sugar.
– Serve with ice.

Enjoy!

My sober pandemic: Nicky

Interviews

“I’ve always hidden how I feel but my coping strategies were alcohol and self harm and I quit both.” ======= ======= Nicky: At the beginning of lockdown, the company I contract to assured me there would be plenty of work that I could do from home while I looked after the kids.
