October 8th, 2023 Drink of the Week 4 comments
I absolutely love this tea! The process of making it is as rewarding as the drinking of it. Play with the flavours according to your tastes (e.g. more ginger) and if you’re not in the mood for creamy and sweet then leave out the milk & honey and add another cup of water.
2 cups water
8 cardamom pods – crushed slightly
Thumb sized piece of ginger – cut into rounds
2 cinnamon sticks
5 star anise
1-2 black tea bags
1 cup milk
1 tsp honey (or to taste)
In a saucepan combine the water, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon sticks and star anise.
Bring to the boil then lower the heat and let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Add the tea bags, milk and honey and simmer for a further 2 minutes then turn off the heat and leave to steep for 5-10 minutes.
Use a spoon to remove the spices and tea bags.
Pour into your favourite cup.
Enjoy!
I’ve had some coconut sugar sitting at the back of my pantry for ages and haven’t really known what to do with it … until I saw this recipe on Pinterest!

I’m not sure that you can just stop drinking alcohol and make no other changes or do no other ‘work’ on yourself and expect to become happily sober.
