Kiwi-Banana Breakfast 'Mocktail'

June 3rd, 2015 Drink of the Week 1 comment

Well, why not?! Start the day as you mean to go on! Wizz yourself up this delicious concoction and serve it in a martini glass with a lemon peel garnish. The fruit content makes it tastes quite sweet – but knowing the spinach is there will leave you feeling very healthy and virtuous!

Ingredients (for two drinks):
1/2 cup water
1 kiwifruit, peeled and cut into chunks
1 banana, peeled and cut into chunks
1 apple, cored but not peeled
2 cups of spinach or kale
1/2 cup ice
Lemon peel for garnish

Method:
Place all ingredients into the blender and puree until smooth. I needed to stop the blender a few times to stir it through to get it all mixed together. Pour into martini glasses and garnish with lemon peel.

Enjoy!

Beating Cravings (Video)

Interviews Mrs D's Blog

The good news for those of us who struggle with alcohol is that if we ignore cravings for long enough, over time our brains will readjust and the cravings will disappear.
