Isolation Brew

March 20th, 2020 Drink of the Week 1 comment

close up hot toddy drink

At this strange time of a lot of home-based isolation, what we need is lovely soothing and warming drinks. Even if we’re not sick brews like this can work beautifully to make us feel cared for.

Ingredients:

1 green or black teabag (flavoured is fine)
Juice of half a lemon
One large orange wedge studded with whole cloves
1 tbsp honey
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Method:

First brew your tea in a large mug or cup
Add the lemon juice, orange wedge, honey, cinnamon and cayenne (if using)
Drink piping hot for maximum benefit

Enjoy!
