Lemongrass & Ginger Tea

tea in delicate floral teacup

This tea is just the ticket when you feel like something nourishing and warm, and I truly do believe that the act of making a drink like this is as restorative as the drinking of it. I keep a packet of lemongrass sticks in the freezer to have on hand whenever I feel like rustling up this tea.

Ingredients:

2-3 sticks of lemongrass - bashed a little
Big knob of fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
2-3 cups of water

Method:

Put all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over a medium high heat for 5-10 minutes
Strain into your teacup of choice

Enjoy!

I haven’t made this for ages and now I’m inspired to do it today – I sometimes just use lemons instead of lemongrass and that’s good too
