July 19th, 2015 Drink of the Week
This recipe comes from Bren Murphy who wrote the guest post Bread & Alcohol (here). He makes this smoothie every day and says it has changed his life (along with the getting sober of course!).
Ingredients:
6 ice cubes
Handful of frozen mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries)
2 tsp fresh ginger, diced
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
2 scoops vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 cup of tap water
1 small carrot – diced
1 medium banana
2-3 small broccoli florets
1 cup of almond milk
Method:
Pour into blender, food processor or Nutri Bullet and mix for 15 seconds – pour and serve.
I got the juicer and the cocktail shaker out for the first time in a long while to make this drink.

This delicious drink is tart like proper lemonade, refreshing like a slushie and has a creamy decadence like a milkshake!
