Warm Spiced Apple Juice

The spices give this drink a decidedly Christmassy feel! And it's fun to make, simple but treaty.

Ingredients:

1 ltr apple juice
1 orange
1 apple
Approx 20 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
10 whole cardamom pods or 1 heaped tsp cardamom seeds
2 slices of fresh ginger

Method:

Stud the apple and orange with 10 cloves each.
Place fruit into a saucepan with the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Let it cool a little before serving.
You could also put it in the fridge and drink it cold over ice with a garnish of fresh pineapple.
