Turmeric Lemonade

I’ve been reading a lot lately about the health benefits of turmeric – apparently it’s one of the most potent natural cure-alls, carrying major benefits for the body and brain. So this drink is not only fun to make and yummy, it’s also incredibly good for you!

Ingredients (for two large drinks):
1 tbsp powdered turmeric
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Juice of 1 lemon
4 cups fizzy water

Method:
Mix the turmeric, honey and lemon juice in a small bowl (I had to stir this mixture for quite a while to dissolve the honey).
Pour half of the mixture into a large glass then top up with 2 cups fizzy water.

Enjoy!

Anyone tried this – I’m fructose intolerant so can’t do apple types of drinks (ignored the fructose in wine because that was very convenient!!!)

Great amount of tumeric, but I thought a lot of honey thirstystill – or maple which is very sweet. I will be trying for sure thanks Lotta.

This sounds so yummy! And not too sweet either. I’m going to try it for sure. I love turmeric! Have you tried the turmeric and milk drink people have been on about lately, golden milk? Very nice in winter, which you must be heading into over there. Anyway, thanks for this one, @Mrs-D
