Just another 'nearly 40yr old mother' who has drunk... 'a little more, a little faster, a little more often' than my friends since I first started drinking as a teenager. Determined to break the cycle of alcoholism that is littered through generations of my family. Would hate to think I am 'normalising' something for my children that is in fact so life changing once you loose control over it.
Update 26th July 2016: Today my counter ticked over to 50 days! I haven't had 50 days consistently alcohol free since I was a teenager. The early few weeks were so hard, but my next update will be 100 days! x Well 73 days saw a 'perfect storm' of events that derailed my 100 day attempt. Now taking a different approach that doesn't involve 'counting the days' as such.... just declaring to live 'Alcohol Free' ... forever! My last drink was 1st Jan 2017. Onwards and Upwards x
Update 4/9/18: Well it seems I really have spent 2+ years 'getting it?!?!" Did A LOT more 'research' and the desire is still the same... I want to live my life TOTALLY ALCOHOL FREE!!! My last drink was Sun 2nd Sept 2018.
Day 4 Done and dusted! 🙂 Was slightly harder than I thought… but mostly cause I had to shop 3 times… and the normal ‘stock up on booze and food for Easter’… was totally different!?!? Still… booze free… home for a weekend of Kids, Chocolate and No work! Haha
