Love love love my new 5pm relaxation trigger of comfy pants and a cup of tea or glass of fizzy water. Or even PJs at 5pm! Love being alert and present for my sons all evening. Love climbing into bed sober and laying my head on the pillow with no blurry brain or slurry tongue. Love sleeping clearly and remembering my dreams, and most of all love waking up in the morning hangover free, guilt free and remembering everything. Sobriety is the BOMB! Worth all the hard work. Keep pressing on if you’re in the tough early stages.. it is so worth the hard work at the beginning, getting to a stage where not drinking becomes your new norm and you just feel calm most of the time. x
I agree, Sobriety is great! And comfy and pants are two words that go together so well, like Sunday and afternoon, or summer and breeze. They say Friday is casual day at the office, and if that were really true I’d be in comfy pants. My blue jeans – nope, not comfy.
I think of you when I throw the (pretty comfy) work clothes off and grab tights and big sweatshirts – the cool is coming too soon 🙁 🙁
