Hello from the public library where I have come to do some writing.. it has been very hard to get any time and space to work on my new book because there are workmen in the house and kids and just difficult parenting and other STUFF coming at me constantly and I’VE BEEN STRESSED! Not sleeping and binging on awful food, gah! But today I feel great, carved out a bit of space for myself, am treating myself kindly and getting back on track with the self-care (ie good food, kind self-talk and fresh air). I found this AWESOME ‘Mindful March’ chart on Twitter with suggestions for every day this month on how to focus on good things and keep yourself in the moment and grateful etc. You can see it on my Twitter feed @mrsdalcoholfree or Facebook ‘Mrs D Is Going Without’. And as always I am reminding myself that I am not perfect, I am a work in progress and always will be and that is PERFECTLY OK! Of course I am a kick-arse sober warrior who kicked her nasty booze habit to the curb 7 and a half years ago (whoop whoop!) and I live life in the RAW and face all my feelings head on every single mother fucking day like all good kick-arse sober warriors do. So YAY for me. And it is SATISFYING writing this post with swear words and caps liberally dotted througout. Out with Mr D tonight for dinner and a movie to celebrate him getting his new dream job. We have chosen a 5.40pm movie because we want to be home in bed nice and early because THAT’S HOW WE ROLL and I don’t care what anyone thinks I love my sober lifestyle and don’t need to be up late boozing and partying to make myself feel good. Right better get back to my work. Check out the blog pages I posted up a new drink, Sober Story and general blog on the Mrs D’s Blog Page this week. xx
great post, @mrs-d – glad you are getting back on track. I love going to the library to jump start me back to getting my thought time back and disciplined. have a great day. will check out the new blog posts. thanks as always.
You are an inspiration.
The library is one of my favorite places to be.
Walking up and down the isles to find a book always relaxes me!
Going there today actually!!
