• I have a very beautiful family. I would love to keep. Alcoholism has just been breaking my family apart. Any little chance i get i take a drink. Im tired of this life, should i put myself into a rehab. Im not sure what to do.

    • Hi @Chalino and welcome 😀 Do you feel that you can stop drinking on your own or that you need supervision? Everyone here gets heaps of support, so you will get tons of encouragement on this site. Maybe share some more of your story, so people can give advice …

      • Supervision is the wrong word – I mean do you feel as if you need a “programme” to follow or do you feel confident to stop with your own will power?

    • @Chalino sometimes the hardest path leads to the most wonderful place. Why not give rehab a go? What could you loose?

  • Im just here feeling shackyyyyyy i really want to stop drinking for good.

    • Hi Chalino, good on you for getting on here, thats your first brave step. Just stay here & keep posting, there are incredible wise loving people here who will help you. We have all been where you are, shakyyy, terrified, desperate. Biggest of hugs to you Xo

      • It’s true! I was terrified last night. I’m still nervous today, my first full day. Was “tapering” yesterday. Just trying to drink tea, take vitamins, and work up an appetite so I can go buy healthy food.

    • It’s true Chalino, One day at a time and you can be free. thinking of you today as I take my first step back to sobriety having fallen off the waggon

    • Hi Chalino. I hear you loud and clear! I tried AA and it helps – as well as bloggin on this site… theres’ so much support here. I find AA a bit “old fashioned” etc… and I find the God part hard to swallow … but once I looked for the similarities not the differences, I found there’s a lot of accumulated wisdom there!
