I am a 52 year old woman who had her first drink at 15. I started binge drinking on the weekends real quick, and since about the age of 25, have drank almost each and every night when not pregnant. My preference is beer, as my husband buys a case each night. My normal intake is 10 beers. On occasion, he will go without, so after he retires I open a bottle or two of wine. Once I begin to drink, I drink fast and can't stop till I go to bed. It has been out of control for a long time. My liver is hurting, and I can't seem to handle the drinks like I was able to in the past. I am determined to choose the right road and kill the drinking off so I can discover who I really am, and live a sober life.
Hello everyone! The evening was full of stress as I attended a meeting about closing a school I care deeply about. I thought and thought about drinking, but my thoughts did not turn into action, and for that I am grateful, Today I pledge to stay sober and not pour alcohol into my body. Please grab my hand and pledge the same.
Today’s thought: There are three C’s in life. Choices, chances, changes. You must make a choice, to take a chance, if you want anything in your life to change. Zig Ziglar
