I found that with my brothers too….. they drink far less when sober me is around….. guess I was a bad influence on them!!!….. when we were drinking together it invariably ended in an argument at 2 o’clock in the morning….. wouldn’t like to relive those days….

Wow, hope you don’t get ‘the whacker’….. lol….. you’re amazing morgy, doing that kind of work and having to go here there and everywhere and cope with all the different scenarios and put out all the different fires so to speak….. meeting you has given me a better insight into just how amazing and dedicated you are : )

    • You are too sweet, but actually, yes, it is hard, but so rewarding and I meet many interesting people. Much love is generated as well as abuse 😐🙄😣 And I do love the variety.

Hi Mari, yeah, I don’t think I could have done this sort of thing a few years ago….. certainly I would have needed some sort of anesthetic…… it used to be alcohol…… even if I had good friends coming over to my house I’d have to skull a couple of cans before they arrived to steady my nerves…… I was always worried about what I…[Read more]

IRL? in real life? …….. yeah, for sure….. online’s great but you can’t beat the real thing : ) …………..thinking about it, me and @morgan must have sent hundreds if not thousands of messages to each other over the years…….. funny when you think about it….. not sure why, but it’s just funny : )

Less of the ‘old-timer’ please morgan ; ) (you can keep ‘esteemed’ though : )……….hope hell was averted.

    • Sorry young man.
My colleague thought it was hell and is ringing the world to get one poor young one removed. I thought it was pretty mild compared to the other places I work, but then, she did get a few whacks, one in the mouth, and that is NOT pleasant even from a littlie. My charge behaved pretty angelically, though I did not rest or let my…[Read more]

    • Yup, next time maybe the crowd can have a meet up?
It was very special to meet such an esteemed old timer from the early days of the site; so fortunate I was not at work, (though the calls intruded. Grrrr. Hopeless, disorganized organisation. • Yay! Happy new year! ❤️

    • I totally relate to this! I had a very challenging year but the outcome was big personal growth in many areas of my life and this ritual helped to remind me of that! Looking forward to the welcoming in 2109 ritual!
Happy new year and massive congratulations to you x

    • Hey @behind-the-sofa, I just finished doing the “goodbye 2018” ritual too. It was a really gentle and introspective year for me, which I’m grateful for, as I enjoy being quiet and not having a lot to deal with. Good to hear you are well and going for the personal growth and awareness.

    • Happy new year @behind-the-sofa wishing you great things for 2019. Love that you are connecting with others and taking care of you. Love your posts and your art, you are so talented. Xoxo

wow…. didn’t realise you could get that stuff….. intriguing….. is it expensive?…… good luck converting them : )

    • @behind-the-sofa. Just about the same price as the alcohol version – with the AF gin it was more expensive than the alcohol version based on what I’ve paid for gin in the past! So for me they are special treats now lololol

    Anyone know a good summery non-alcoholic punch I can make for a Christmas do?……. cheers….. @mrs-d

    • @behind-the-sofa. I can see online that I can buy non alcoholic gin and vermouth at the bottle shop so will be researching how to make a dry AF martini plus maybe other cocktails. These two might be able to be used in your punch. Keen to hear what others think as I’ll be making something to share with my ‘drinking’ family over Christmas! You n…[Read more]

    • @behind-the-sofa, I have found my staples to be AF ginger beer, diet tonic, mini cans of pineapple juice, cranberry selzer and various flavored water, lemons and limes. I mix and combine based on my mood. Put in a pretty glass and serve like a cocktail. I mix my concoction around 4-5 pm everyday! Today I picked up some bottled grapefruit fizzy…[Read more]
