Mandarin & Lime Fizz

My friend David has just put some super-yummy new mocktails on the menu at his cafe – Peppermill Cafe in Porirua. He has very kindly agreed to share some of the recipes with us! His version of this delicious fizzy drink calls for Mandarin Syrup. If you can’t find it at your local deli or supermarket he says you could use fresh mandarin juice with a little sugar added.

Ingredients:
Fresh limes
Mandarin syrup
Soda water
Ice cubes

Method (for each drink):
* Cut one lime in quarters, put two quarters in the bottom of a tall glass then muddle it (squeeze/push it down with a muddler, pestle or the back of a desert spoon)
* Add 3-4 ice cubes
* Pour in 45ml Mandarin Syrup
* Top up with soda water

Enjoy!

    Gosh I just read your 1st plot post ever… 8th September 2011! My 40th birthday and I got absolutely trashed and ended up vomiting in the little kids bathroom on the Monday when I turned up back at work to teach my adorable class of new entrant children. So shocking when I read it in print!

    Yum! I am going to try this!
    I went and bought some elderflower sparking which was beautiful, but quite expensive at $12 a bottle. LOL funny tho I think $12 a bottle wine is cheap! Go figure…
    Gotta go and find some mandarin syrup. On day 3 here… One day at a time huh?
